The Construction Industry License Board (CILB) has created the state Certified Glass & Glazing contractor's specialty license. Work such as installation of doors, windows, structurally anchored impact resistant opening protection, and store front frames require a Division I contractors' license or the state Certified Specialty Glass and Glazing license.

SEGA continues to work with the Department of Business & Professional Regulation (DBPR) and CILB on regulatory issues affecting our industry. The state Certified Specialty Glass and Glazing exam has moved from a pencil/paper examination on trade knowledge to a computer-based testing format. This provides applicants seeking licensure more flexibility in taking the examination.
